Brin Finnigan, Owner

Brin Finnigan has called the North Fork Valley home for the past 16 years. Thirteen years ago, he founded North Fork Carpentry with a vision to combine craftsmanship, sustainability, and community values. With a degree in Environmental Studies, Brin brings a thoughtful, detail-oriented approach to his work—balancing strong design instincts with hands-on execution.
Over the years, Brin has built a reputation for his keen eye for design, his dedication to quality, and his ability to assemble skilled, cohesive teams. He believes strongly in keeping carpentry work in-house to maintain high standards and create strong working relationships with both clients and subcontractors.
Nine years ago, Brin expanded his operation with the addition of Driftwood Mill, a sawmill that allows him to control the quality and sourcing of the materials used in his projects. With a background that includes work as a painter, metalworker, drywall installer, and carpenter, Brin has worn many hats in the trades—but wood has always been his preferred medium.
When he’s not on the job site, Brin enjoys river-running and woodworking. He’s combined those passions by building a wooden whitewater dory, which he takes on trips through the Grand Canyon. Back on land, his work remains deeply rooted in the local community—North Fork Carpentry recently moved into a historic building in downtown Hotchkiss. Stop by and say hello!
